Savage model 42 new calibers

I have been hearing rumours and and people assuming that there will be more calibers coming in the new model 42's, but savages website doesn't even list the 2013 models let alone what they plan to do in the futre.
Does anyone have a reliable source that knows what caliber combinations savage will be bringing out in the model 42?
 
I don't think Savage has decided, but when they announced the Model 42 in .22/.410 they said it would be available in other combinations later if there was enough demand.
 
Just bought one for a buddy at P&D for 399.99 in .22 over .410. Heard/read there will also be .22 mag over .410 guess time will tell
 
i'd love to see a 223/20ga myself, i might even get a 22 mag/20 if it came out as well, but i don't really have much use for 410, hopefully enough people get them to expand to other combinations soon
 
Savage tends to keep their (new) standard production calibers and models close to their chests. It's all said and done when they actually post their catalogue on the net. They will custom build a rig and preferred caliber, that falls into close spectrum of their production models. I usually send inquiries to Savage and other gun manufacturers (almost every year) suggesting the production of rifles in models that I have an interest in. As Left hand shooters know, we usually have to keep planting seeds with the gun companies to ensure that we are not forgotten.
 
I'd just be happy if the one I already bought was able to be sighted in properly. I have the rear sight full left and bottom, and it still shoots way high and right (4" high and 2" right at 7 yards!)
