Just curious if anyone knows of a company making aftermarket stocks for Savage model 64's? Thanks in advance.

I don't think their are any companies that make any aftermarket parts for the Savage 64. I don't know why; they certainly seem popular enough.

I adore my 64!

I adore my 64 (few generations befor Savage...I have cooey's).

I've noticed that for add-on, bits n' peices, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot out there. Frustrating is the lack of extra cap. clips.

What sort of "look" were you after? Something on the "tacticool" side? I have seen ome 64's done up very nicely but, always a custom job.

Just kinda getting a feel for whats out there, I cant seem to follow the masses and get a 10/22 like everyone else.

lol, careful...

There are serious 10/22 fans out there! I like 'em myself but, n'er owned one. It's funny, I read just reecently (possibly here on CGN, I can't recall source) read for years, Marlin out sold Ruger 2:1 in the semi .22 world...I love the model 70 that I used.
There are an abundance of great, cheap, new.used semi .22's out there...if you wanna invest in a bunch of after-market add-ons (you don't whip up yourself) you're choice is pretty limited IMO.

Cooey 64s, Lakefield 64B ,Sears 6C, Sears 8C and Savage 64s are all the same literally. Why would they make the "taci-cool" parts when the guns are absolutely great the way they are. No need to pretend they are something they are not.

Nail's head..meet hammer!

Mr. Toymaker, you've kinda summed it all up...for "us" (I'm going out on a limb and guessing you may have, or had, a 10/22 but, it's not a "black" 10/22...) Different markets I guess. Squires Bingham dressed as an m16 is worth a few hundred bucks...

I do enjoy hunting n' plinking with a great (as you pointed: out a platform that's been around for 50+years and, still in production) rifle.

Other than the hi-cap mags (which, I admit, would be fun) I don't lament the lack of after market. I'm kinda proud...this one stands fine on it's own! Also, if you'd really like to modify it, they are straightforward/simple in design...just gotta make it yourself, not purchase.
