I just purchased one of these from another board member and will be trying to figure out the same, as it will be arriving in a couple of days.
So far I've discovered that parts for these guns can be had from Numrich Arms. It also appears as though detailed disassembly instructions were included in at least one of the manuals on firearms dissassembly published about twenty years ago. Unfortunately the section that I saw on the web only showed part of the section on the Stevens 77.
At the very least, a good wipe down of all of the surface parts, a few swipes of the bore with brush and patches, and perhaps a bit more attention to the porting on the Savage-choke should suffice until you get more detailed instructions about removing the barrel, taking apart the bolt and trigger group, etc. If I find anything more thorough, I'll certainly post it here.
I've seen several of these shotguns in the EE in the past couple of months, plus at least one in the field and have an uncle who owns the Savage M30 with Savage-choke (basically the same gun with nicer wood). It sounds as though it was a reasonably reliable and popular shotgun in its day, and the choke device certainly makes it more desirable than most older pump guns.
With Regards,
Frank
