Savage No4 Mk1 (T)

Hi All
I am just trying to find out some info on the
No4 T I have Manufactured by Savage Arms 1942
It is just below the 5000 serial No
A friend just came back from the States where he had meet a person that had a similar rifle at a gun show, but can't remember all the info he was given
Any help from you people would be great thanks
