Savage or Ruger Precision Rifles?

I appreciate your advice and for taking the time to respond.

I do think I should reconsider my choices, and will be taking a second look at the options. Who knows, maybe it would be wiser to wait a little and try to expand my budget? That Bergara is very heavy!

I have a B22 Precision & MK II. I've not had much time behind the trigger of the B22 due to the freaking wind tunnel I live in. But I've had no issues with extraction with this rifle. I really, really like the trigger. The Safety is in an awkward spot to operate. Savage did an improvement to the magazine, my son's B22, & my A22 do not have the spring load snap. I'm not a fan of the mags, I find them slow and finicky to load compared to the MK II magazines. Wish it had hold open on last shot. My 25 round Butler Creek mag worked 'OK' sorta, as long as nothing touched it.

Ejection Issues.
I had ejection issues with my MKII caused by gobs & gobs of lube on the CCI SV ammo. It's my belief that the lube liquefied on the shot and before you can eject freezes to the chamber wall. I talked my LGS into letting me see what a box looks like before I buy a brick.

In the MK II, the box on left, maybe 10 rounds in a clean chamber before fail to eject, used them up in my semi-auto's with no issues other than a very dirty actions. My Ruger MK IV was a pig-sty.
Box on right, I can shoot pretty much all day.

Got the $50USD rebate cheque for the B22 was in the mail the other day :d. Applied Mar 23rd on-line, received April 14th.
 
I have both in 22LR, i've had the ruger for approx. 2 years and love the rifle, but I have to say the Savage B series in that MDT chassis is really growing on me.
