Here is something we haven't heard before.
"The patented D.R.I.V. (Dual Regulating Inline Valve) gas system ensures excess gas vents before it drives the bolt, resulting in consistent ejection, less felt recoil, and a lightning fast cyclic rate for dependably fast split times." Just DRIVEL if it is just another jam-o-matic.
Do not get me wrong, I like Savage products, and own many. Whether this can upstage the 1100, or get around the A400, remains to be seen.
There is a CGN’r with a signature that says “life is too short to shoot ugly guns”. That statement seems appropriate in a conversation about the Savage Renegauge.
Has anyone used one of these ? How does it stack up against the A400 and other similar guns ?
So exactly which full dipped 12 gauge autoloader actually looks beautiful? If you want purty get a double gun with walnut furniture otherwise who gives a hoot about ugly in a duck blind. Your there to kill them not impress them.

Furniture - in British-speak, the visible small steel parts of a double gun: toplever, triggerguard, safety tab, forend release lever, etc. These parts are normally blued.

You rang? LOL
Ever heard of Browning? How about Beretta? Maybe Winchester, Remington and Mossberg ring a bell? Camo dipped has nothing to do with it. There are lots of camo dipped guns at various price points that are nice and that don't have radically ugly designs. The renegauge is not one of them. Its just plain ugly. The design of the front and rear stocks are quite brutal, as is the useless fluted barrel, rubber cheek riser and recoil pad to name a few features. Combine that with the guns price point, I don't see many walking away from tried, tested, and true designs offered by all the other leading manufactures. But to each their own.....there is always a guy willing to bang the ugly chicks...
