Savage Rifle extracting failure

Hi: Has anyone else had trouble with cases failing to extract in Savage bolt rifles. We are using factory ammo in a .300 win mag and a 30-06 Thanks

Did this happen all at once , or always?
The extracors are made from Berilium( b?) and althoiugh very tough, they are samll, adn can chip off every now and then.
Not a difficult fix, but annoying nonetheless!

Thank You for the reply. It happened on both guns the second season of use. The 300 win mag has less than 20 rounds through and the 30-06 about 60 rounds

Check your chambers. I saw savage where the chamber rusted a bit and just needed to be polished up a bit so that the shells would extract. Some are rough right from the factory.

What exxactly happens?

Does the case stay in the chamber, or partly extract, or extract but not eject and fall onto the magazine?
