Savage screw ups on a new 220f

Sigh, ok...I needed a Savage 220f for a friend whose coming to my farm to hunt the controlled hunt so Having recently been to EPPs to grab ammo for my Savage 220f, I call them first and they indicate they have the gun mount rings etc...I drive 1.5 hrs, turns out they dont have exact mount but gunsmith machines one to fit, then they mount a Leopold 3/9 and off I go....get home and next am give the gun a thorough look over as I wanted to clean it thoroughly before sighting it in...I'm like hmmm stock looks slightly different than mine...AH HA a youth model!! I call Epps and they are great give me many options, use and they will order new stock, return for full refund, or get a pullover recoil pad...Ultimately after calling my friend we decide to return as he is way to busy to look after follow up. Ultimately, I manage to find a replacement gun which was a real challenge as 5 local dealers did not have one....drive back to Epps, and they move scope to new gun off I go...

Even though it was a PITA I thought Epps was great, Cabelas Barrie who had one was nice and polite and I have a happy friend. I sited the in gun today and managed to shoot a ragged hole grouping in the rain/snow...so he has no excuses to miss the big one :)
