I've searched the Internet and have come up dry once again. So I turn to the knowledge of the cgn community once agan.

Is there a Savage short action that will accept a large shank barrel? I heard the WSM cartridges such as the 300WSM and the 270WSM use the large shank barrels and are in a short action configuration. If anyone can confirm this that would be great as all I need is an action to complete my project.

accually any of the model 12 target actions fit the bill, but it sounds like he may want a repeater action

I have the single shot model 12 LRPV target action in 22-250 and it is large shank.. Found out the hard way.. Ordered a shilen for it.. Waited for about 5 months.. Got it.. Wrong size... Just ordered my new one last week.. My buddy had the model 12 LRP with target trigger, in 243 and it was a repeater, I am 98% sure it was large shank..

It's hard enough finding a target action, gonna be real tough finding a left hand target action.. The only rifle listed on savage arms with left hand and heavy barrel in center fire is the model 12 FLV and I'm 99% certain it's not a target action and not large shank.. Comes in 223 and 22-250

A few of the first wsm's were on small shank, they should all be on large shank now. Find a left hand wsm and it is 99.999% likely to be large shank

Well the LRP series isn't going to work as I'm left handed. I though all WSM calibers were large shank no matter the series.

All target actions and WSM are large shank actions............and get this.........Some very knowledgeable people I know have mastered the ability to cut large shank threads into what was a standard shank action. Easier to true the action and rethread the action then it is to try and chase an existing thread on a barrel that you have no idea what it was cut parallel to if anything............food for thought........

funny I just looked at three adds in the EE for left handed WSM rifles............you must not want to look to hard...........
