I know it's an Ithaca clone made in China (cough cough) but from what I've gathered from the web, a step well above Norinco in QC. Given how poorly some US companies have been turning out stuff, I don't think it's a deterent... yet.

That said, any CGN'er who has one, care to comment on fit/finish, shooting experience?

Cheers.

Many QC issues on it, keep reading on the web, there are even videos of the action bar breaking off after a couple of rounds. You could always buy one and tell us after you've fired a few hundred down the pipe how you like it.

I was in the same boat as you. I wanted this shotgun because it's something different at an affordable price. Plus my wife is a lefty so that would have been a plus.

My big deterrent was parts. Both replacement and aftermarket. There just isn't much out there in either respects that i could find.

In the end i got a Mossberg maverick 88. You get that proven Mossberg reliability, and it fits most parts off a 500 (everything but the trigger group) so i can get a short barrel or a pistol grip easily If i wanted. They also are available in two barrel sets, if that floats your boat.
