I'm trying to convert my savage blind mag single stacked feed to a clip version, so I have a new stock with a mag but my rife action has the bolt release up on top and the new stock has material that must be remove for the action to fit can I just remove this material and fit the stock . I have to get a mag for this rifle and I'm just wondering what else do I need to make this work .The rifle is a 22/250 short action accutrigger the new stock is a stock from a 300 short magnum 4.40 action screw spacing will this work thanks SLIPP

Is one centerfeed and the other a staggered feed? Might run into problems there but other than that if you already have the floorplate for a detachable mag you should be alright with just taking out some wood to make the top bolt release fit.
The rifle is a mod 16 center feed with the bolt release at the top and the stock I bought is a factory Tupper ware stock with the bolt release in front of the trigger guard can I relieve the stock to fit the action in .Are these to stocks inter changeable slipp

Slipp, I'm not much help, I take care of the vintage stuff over at Savageshooters dot com, if you can't get a good answer here try over there, it's full of guys that just mod Savage bolt guns, I'm sure you would get an answer in less than a day.
