Savage tactical box mags?

If you have a newer rifle with the centre feed type system then Sharp Shooter Supply has a kit that may work.

Break the link, what's the difference between listing the companies name and posting a link to their site, I'm saving the OP 2 mins. from going to a search engine and finding it himself.

If one of the supporting companies carried said product I would obviously suggest looking/buying from them as I completely support canadian companies. However since none of them do I can't see it hurting thier business.

another facepalm

Dude, hotlinking to non sponsors websites is not allowed. These are not my rules. Although I would like to see our forum to continue to grow and thrive and yes there are sponsors that carry Savage Drop Mags, such as V-Bull that designed a mag system that uses AI mags on a Savage platform.

People might know that about V-Bull making Savage bottom metal if these guys would ever fix their websites or advertise the fact. If you're going to be in business, BE in business and act like it.

.

I looked for that rule after you commented on my first post and couldn't find it, however if its a rule on these forums I have no problem abiding by it.

I had looked at Vbulls site a few times (when it is working) and have never seen anything about savage mags, however after taking a look just a few minutes ago I see that you were right, Savage bottom metal will be available soon.

Good as I have been waiting a kit for my savage for some time.

I am getting at stock made at SSS right now and it will be inlet for the Centerfeed with a drop mag from SSS, so I am going to try it out when it arrives. Which should be really soon. I would love it all done in time for deer season.

My friend bought that one - it's not that good... Really hard to insert/remove.

I find it strange that you say it is not that good and hard to insert and remove. I bought one and it is actually just an extension of the stock savage magazine. No part of the mag that touches the gun is any different than the one that came with the gun. In fact I think part of the extended mags they sell are actually made by savage and the extension is fitted onto the mag. Minus that if you order one from SSS it will take 5-6 months to show up.

The mag that is from Sharp Shooter Supply is not what I was looking for. I was looking for something in the lines of a more boxier mag like an AR or tactical box mag. it doesn't have to be an AR mag but a replacement floorplate & larger tactical box mag set up if you get my drift. or have someone make a larger tactical box mag that would replace the factory mag for a .223 cal

I think you should see if the V-Bull guys will have their mag system ready for your gun. It uses AI mags. I have a Badger Bottom metal with AI mags on my Remmy.
Just so you know the mags are about 130-150 each and the bottom metal is about $400 with one magazine plus about $100 to inlet for your stock.

Getting close to the price of another rifle.
