Savage target action scope base

Hey cgn,

I'm looking for scope base recommendations for a savage short action single shot target receiver. I'm leaning towards Warne 20 moa base.

I want a steel base. 20 moa maybe more.
I'm not sure what screws are required for mounting.
I'm thinking they are 8/40 but if someone could confirm that would be appreciated.

I use the EGW 20 moa base, it works fine.
