Savage Target Action

I'm considering a custom build and I'd like to start with a Savage Target Action, right bolt, left port. Does anyone know if they are still available and more specifically, if they are available anywhere in Canada? I've searched every gun dealer website I can find and can't seem to find one anywhere in Canada.

I used a standard 10 TR action and installed a custom prefit barrel from McGovan (probably spelled that wrong) thru Mystic Precision in 6.5 CM
It groups 5 rounds in less than 1/4 in.at 100....when I do my part.
 
Not sure if Savage makes the RB/LP actions anymore ,Epps have had the actions listed in the past but not sure if they have any in stock now. You could check with them and see if they can get you one.
 
Well just my 2 cents here. If you are just looking for just an action and looking at the price of a used Savage Target I would start looking into custom like Stiller, Ultimatum, Mausingfield, Kelbly etc.

If that is too much money I would then look for a standard Savage 10/110 action or Rem 700 then build on that as it would be much cheaper.

I'm looking at the Savage Target Action because I'm a fan of the Savage action and the Accu Trigger. I know that other actions are considered to be better, but I'm a Savage fan and like what I like...
 
in the past I have contacted Savage directly in the states and they got me what I wanted. I don't know if they are still helpful like that. I had found the phone number for custom jobs on the PDF catalogue you used to be able to download on line. The final order was placed via a gun shop in Canada that dealth with Savage, but it did not take that long to get what I has asked for.

I am looking for exactly the same, with large barrel shank to allow for beefier contour at the chamber.
If you do find a way to order one, and want to order two instead of one, we could split import costs.

Never tried F-class, but want to build an F-class rifle based on that action.
If not I’ll buy a second Bighorn Origin, very savage like to build on.
But only in regular sized shank, I’d have to do shouldered barrel to beef up size starting at chamber area.
