Savage Target Custom Parts/Accessories

I put together a whole gun minus the action with their parts.

I'm in the process of doing it again.

they are awesome to deal with and they understand the woes that us Cannuks go through with our laws so they work with us.

I have bought barrel blocks, recoil lug, barrel nut wrench, match trigger, sporter stock. will be getting a metal trigger guard and big bolt handle from them next. Great people great products, phone in your order you'll be surprised how late they work. Fred Moreo , the owner is a Savage gunsmith expert you can see him and his wealth of knowledge on www.savageshooters.com BTW Fry, I received an infraction last year for hot-linking to sharpshootersupply.

I have bought from SSS on numerous occasions as well, everything except barrel and stock. Lisa is great to deal with. I had something missing in one of my orders and she made good on it within a few days.

I've bought a barrel wrench, recoil lug, action screws in the past and made an order about two weeks ago for a 9 round centerfeed magazine, tacticooool bolt handle, and a single shot follower. I want to make my LPRV a single shot, five shot, and nine shot convertable because its really really really cool.

They are unbelievable to deal with. I think it would be cool if Jerry hooked up with them and became our Canadian Savage Superstore

please post your results on the mag conversion.

I have contacted most of the usual suspects for Savage stuff. They are all aware of the problems to export. Some are more liberal about obeying :)

At any rate, they are all waiting to see what the new govt is going to throw at them. A few have shown interest in going through the steps to get licensed.

Others have simply said NO.

I will keep trying to get supply of accessories for all rifles, especially the Savage platform. Lots are available right now if you don't mind bending the law.

However, quite alot can be offered right at home.

I have had a chance to adjust the bolt timing on my tenth Savage/Stevens to confirm my technique to reduce, ease and smooth the bolt lift. Works like a charm.

Will offer it as a service if there is interest. Bedding of factory stocks is also available for those who would rather not do it themself.

Having alot of success tuning the Accutrigger on the hunting models lighter too.

Shilen barrels, bases and Timney triggers are already available.

Tactical style bolt knobs can be put on by a number of smiths. Overall costs wouldn't be that much more then sneaking something out of the states.

Stocks are a big headache but I am working on it. HS is a possibility. Stockade and Bell/Carlson, I continue to work on. McM are already coming in no problem.

I believe that Kyle Precision makes recoil lugs. I am sure there are other machining smiths that can do it right now.

So overall, there are a few pieces that would be nice to get. Triggers and stocks being the main items.

Let's see what the next month holds....

Jerry
