OK, when did Savage change to an "Accutrigger" type unit on the package rifles?
My older Savages have the trigger units with that funky, stiff, wire spring.
The rifle that I just got from Prairie Gun Traders (model 111 stainless/synthetic in .30-06) has an Accutrigger-type without the blade.
Very nice to adjust the trigger pull. soaked it in nail polish remover for 15 minutes to remove the yellow gunk, cleaned with Q-tips and I now have a fairly decent 3.5 lb trigger pull.
