Savage vs Marlin in 17 HMR

I do have a Marlin LVSS that shoots very well and just bought my wife a Savage BVSS in the same 17 hmr cal.

I guess there will be a shoot off come Sunday ??

But looking at the actions I do think the Marlins a bit better built.

I guess Sunday will tell.

What do you think!
 
It was a great day, Both guns perfered the Winchester, and remington 17 gr Vmax, My wife shot very nice 5 shot groups well under 1/2 inch with one group in the .2-3s range. I shot the marlin and perfred it over the BVSS savage, was a bit longer gun and fit me better than the savage, but th esavage was the preferance on y wife.

The savage did shoot the win ammo a bit better than the rems, however I shot better groups with the Marlin Vs.
There pretty Damd equal.. in my oppinion and its fair for me to comment on that after shooting them all day.

The best part was a smear on jam I put on the edge of the target and let the flys land on them. After I shot 5 flys in a row, I was sold on the accuracy of these guns, we shot all our groups at 50 yards , due to a brisk west breeze!
I do want to try it on a calm morning at 100 yards.
