I was curious what stock comes with the Savage Mcmillan?

Some say the A3 some say the A5.
Could someone tell me which models have which stock?

While surfing the web today i noticed Epps had a Savage 10FP Mcmillan.
I called them and put a deposit on it but have not seen it yet.

The description says 24inch heavy barrel, detachable magazine, and oversized bolt handle.

To me this sounds like the 10FCP Mcmillan which i beleive comes with the A5.

Could someone more experience with savage help me out.

The model named 10FCP is the new McMillan A5. If it doesn't have the removable mag ("C" = clip) and is called 10FP it has the A3 at best.

Oops forgot to mention.....I had one of the 10FCP ordered through wholesale sports for about oh.....2 years now and they finally called me the other day saying it has arrived!!!!

Too bad I'm no longer interested, if you're looking for one I believe they had 5 come in. Give them a call. They won't last long.

One other change besides the move to the A5 stock from the A3 stock and the detachable mag, is that the new one has a 24" barrel, the old one had a 26" barrel.

im glad i got my 10 flp when i did , the store had got it in fore somebody but they never got a deposit i got it at a discount it had been there 18 months , so far the tupperware stock has worked well kinda leaning towards the choate sniper one

the choate and H&S 10FP/FCPs are pretty easy to come by. It is only once it is in a A3/A5 that it becomes hard to find.

Does it make it a better gun? I have seen some sweet shooting from guys behind H&S and even choate stocks.

My gun in the HS stock shoots very well. Also, P&D just got in a few of them with the McMillan stock. Purdy.

A friend bought a Savage 10FPLE2 with an A5 from R.Nicholls in Mtl, the stock was fitted with a mag (wich sucks) and the stock was far from sniper filled....

The Savage company probably ordered a batch of A5's for their line, but the cheaped on the stock filling, wich is verry important on thne shooting issues.

I did ordered an A5 from jwprecision.ca for my 10FPLE2 witout mag and i took it sniper fill. I can assume jwprecision's service is absolutely perfect.

I would recommend everyone considering an A5 upgrade to deal with John !

Why do you want a sniper fill? Without it, the A5 is a bunch lighter. Does a light fill flex or something?
