Say hello to my little friend, the CZ 455 Lux II in .17 HMR. This is a stock photo and mine doesn't have the tiger striping, but it is still a gorgeous rifle and I just love the
the iron sights on this thing - although I haven't fired it yet. :( I also got the .22LR miniset and I am on the lookout for the .22 WMR miniset. Unfortunately the minisets
don't come with the same type of iron sights, but as long as they do have irons, I'm happy with that. I'm just itching to get out and shoot this puppy.

Congrats! The CZ bug hit me pretty hard a month or so back. Ended-up with a NIB, 452 Varmint in .22lr! :) Never thought about getting a 17HMR with iron sights. Always thought with my eyes...I need a scope to see what I'm shooting at past about 25 yards. :)

Thank you and congrats on picking up the 452 Varmint. Yeah, my eyes ain't what they used to be either, but I think making use of iron sights is probably a good way to exercise the old
peepers. Not that I won't ever scope the CZ, but you have to keep in mind that every time you changed out the barrel, you'd have to re-zero your scope. Which is basically why I insisted
on the LUX model: the rifle is usable immediately after a barrel swap. Well, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Congratulations on the 455 Lux. It's a great feature of the 455's to be able to quickly change barrels. I have a CZ 455 Varmint in a TH stock and have the .17HMR and .22LR barrels. I've been using the .22LR barrel ever since I got it as match .22 ammo is more affordable than the .17HMR ammo. When changing a scoped 455, some guys note how much they have to adjust the scope when changing barrels, as the changes are usually quite consistent; they make that adjustment and fine tune from there.

Thanks guy:
Yeah, it's about time somebody offered an alternative to the Sako Quad and I thank the Gods it was CZ: you can count on CZ to put decent irons on their products if you want them and I'm a
big fan of having the irons as an option. You make a good point about memorizing the required scope adjustment going from one calibre to another and I will definitely keep it in mind. Another
scope option would be to have a different scope for each barrel, but needless to say, there are issues beyond the monetary that would require attention - nothing is perfect.
