Hi everyone just looking to get a new all around shotgun. I am considering the super black eagle 2 or the extrema 2 any thoughts on these 2 guns would be greatly appreciated. Also I am not recoil sensitive so that part doesn't really matter. I shoot ducks, geese, pheasant, rabbits, and I really like clays as well. I handled both in the 26" barrel and liked them both.

I've been shooting the SBEII for a couple years (+40 hunts/yr.) now and really like the gun. However, this season I had the opportunity to shoot the Extrema2 on a snowgoose hunt. Shooting the E2 I immediately noticed the difference between the 2 gun's felt recoil (shooting 3.5" 1 3/8oz loads). After only one hunt, I'd trade my SBEII for an E2 if it wasn't for the feel and natural pointing of the Benelli.

so your saying the e2 has less recoil but the benelli feels better and points better. I'd say that is more important than less perceived recoil but thats me.

I have the Extrema 2 and love it...anyone that says its not easy to clean is wrong...very simple, more so than the older Extrema 1. As far as pointing good for you, that's varies from person to person and how it fits, which is more important than how much recoil is felt or ease of cleaning.

This was my first season with it but I would put it up against any SBE.

If you like them both it really just comes down to which fits you better.

i know they are both great guns, what do u mean by "fit" what should i be looking for in terms of how they fit.

What he means by fit is which one will fit in your gun safe, so your wife, girl friend or significant other will not know you bought another gun:D

Actually what he means is which one has the right length of pull, and right drop at comb and drop at heel, and the right amount of cast off or cast on and the right amount of pitch all combined to that when you correctly mount it or bring it to a shooting position the least amount of adjustment or none at all need be made for you to instictivly point an accurate shot. As there is no rear sight on a shotgun your eye must be automaticley placed in the right position without looking at the sights.
