Today I was at Wholesale sports in Regina and spotted an Benneli SBEII with a wood stock for $1199, a buddy of mine was looking for a new shotgun and I phoned him up. He was there in 10 min with permission from his wife!!!. The salesman told me the reason for the price is that the wood stocked model is being discontinued. There may be more of these around at similar discounts in other WSS stores, if I didn't have my old Beretta A303 that I love I'd have grabbed it.

Sorry no picture since my friend already took it home, my other hunting buddy also has one in wood that has good figure, he bought it 4 years ago at Milarms I believe. I'm gonna feel like the poor cousin hunting with these two using my old Beretta. :(

The list price they had on the gun was $2199 because of the wood stock. I do prefer wood on shotguns even though synthetic is probably more practical. As to what they're worth its whatever people will pay, they do have a very good reputation and I've never heard of an owner who was disappointed in one.

man, I just tried to call them to see if there was any left but they are closed, damn that's a good deal I guess I will try them in the morning

Don't get me wrong I love sbe II's, I have 2. Everywhere I look they are $1769 for the 28" wood one (I'm currently looking for a 26" barrel wood one). I was just saying there's a huge difference between list price and what the stores get them for.

I agree 100% good old supply and demand determine price not the actual cost to produce the gun. It is the reputation of the gun that makes up a lot of the purchase price though most higher end shotguns must cost more to produce due to quality control and more time spent on the finish of external and internal parts.
