SBI 16" carbon fiber vs pencil barrel

Hi,

Originally i was going for the SBI 16" steel pencil barrel....then ran across a couple of SBI 16" carbon fiber units.
Any thoughts on which is better?

Use would be a general carry, dynamic shooting....maybe some bench for long range gong fun.
Not dedicated to bench as i have a 28" barreled 10/22 for that and a CZ457.

Never had a lightweight carbon barrel and wondering if added expense of SBI carbon fiber is worth the $250 over the all steel pencil barrel.
Also i don't see the carbon barrel listed on the SBI website anymore...but i found two private sales.

I like the looks of the thicker barrel. Worth it just for that.

I got a Ruger factory alum sleeved barrel ( like the CF, but alum ) and it no more accurate than a stock 10/22 carbine.

Mainly comes down to looks.

The Tacsol barrels are very nice ,light and very accurate.
I’d choose one of those over the CFW barrels

SBI pencil barrels are $300 + $250, puts them in Kidd ULW price range. KIDD barrels are excellent barrels.
