For those of you who love your LPC... The FRT just came in after 4 YEARS of waiting. It's NR, but we already knew that.

For those of you who want a LPC, it's discontinued and we're not making more. We're too busy making cool 10/22 stuff.

Long story short we submitted SN #2 to the RCMP for inspection and classification over 4 years ago. They promptly did the inspection, put the gun on a shelf, went home due to covid, and then forgot it even existed.
For the past 6 months we've been sending weekly emails asking where it is.

Nope. They weren't popular enough and too many people complained it was a "cope" rifle (even though it was designed way before the ban).
That's really too bad.
I see it as what I think the design intention was, a Modern Manual Rifle.
For Hunting, you can go quite short with a Manual Rifle. Which is great for the Blinds, Tree Stands, or walking around on a sling.

I was just thinking the other day I should get some parts for my cheap blemished receiver I picked up.

lpk and buffer should be easy. But what parts do I need for the upper to compleate the bolt? I have never built a bolt Carier. Then I guess try to find a 12 or 14” ar barrel and backwards gas block to block the hole?

12” barrel and no buffer spring. Probably be a pretty light nr rifle

I think there used to be instructions with pics on your website but are they now gone?

To complete the bolt you’ll need just the bolt itself, a cam pin, a firing pin and a firing pin retainer.

Just make sure you find a gas block that fits your barrel gas block journal size.

You can go as short as an 8.5” barrel if you use a fixed stock to keep it non restricted. One of mine has an 11.5” barrel.

I should also mention that not all handguards will fit without modification. Some handguards with anti rotation tabs might need to have those tabs removed or filed down on order to line up with the upper receiver.

We have an important classification update regarding our Light Practical Carbine. The firearm remains non-restricted, however the component which is considered the firearm has now been correctly updated to be the lower receiver.

Previously the firearms lab incorrectly classified the non-serialized upper receiver as the firearm for the purposes of the law. This was inconsistent with all other classifications where the serialized receiver in a dual receiver firearm design is considered the firearm. While it took many months, we worked with them to have the FRT correctly updated. The new FRT has been issued.

This post is for information purposes only. We are not making more of these receivers.
