Scales

Hey all,

I am looking for a digital scale. Can I just buy any digital scale and will it work? What measurement does it have to use to be able to use it for powder because most of the scales I see is only in ounces or grams.

find a scale that measures in GRAINS and is accurate to within .1grs or better.

Any scale made by/for reloading companies will read in grains, scales made for other uses(chemistry,pharmacy, etc.) will not have grains measurement. RCBS entry level digital is avail. from Mid South Shooting Supplies for $76.00 U.S.

Also get some good quality check weights to check your scale periodically as well. You don't want to get any kabooms as a result of a scale that happened to go off calibration without your knowing it.

Do not buy any of the cheap no name brand junk on e-bay, stay with the known reloading brands.

European data will be in grams. You'll need a scale that will read to 0.01 grams to be accurate enough.
