I wouldn't hold out for it...if it comes its going to be a long time. Buy an XCR or a Tavor if you want a "newer" unrestricted black rifle.

Even if the SCAR-L does make it through all the red tape involved with the US export laws, it'll still be restricted, so make sure you have your R-PAL. The SCAR-H sniper variant was the only version to have a barrel >18.5".

The question is more like if FN gonna make it afterall, look like the US government is dragging on its feet to provide the funding. They are saying mid 2008 - but don't hold your breath if it actually happens in 2009/10

I knew it reminded me of something but couldn't put my finger on it. The top carbine picture has nice lines, except for that stock.

If they are made in the US its also unlikely we will get em but if they are made in Belgium the chances are better.
