Well for me it's been awhile, I know that we are at the fate
of the RCMP.However it would be nice to see how other
SCAR owners feel about the wait?

I order one and I am very very nervous about the situation. I do not mind to wait and being paid in advance but if at the end I cannot get the gun I will be really disappointed. I actually borrow money in order to get this gun. So you know how much I am into it. The whole RCMP thing really make me sick. I really want to know whether it is possible to find a channel to complain the RCMP for being inefficient. Taking one whole year to decide whether it is restricted or not is total BS. I am sure they are just giving us a hard time, or they are really trying hard to make it prohibited but fail to find a reason. That's all I feel.

I cant wait to pay off what I owe, so that I can borrow more money to buy guns!!! :) Credit cards must love me.

Seriously though, if you guys were H:S:government employee's H:S:getting paid to play with an SCAR can any of you honestly say you would rush to give it back to the importer? I'd shoot the living hell out of it, then let my buddies shoot it, then their buddies, the process would be very long and drawn out.:D

Well you would think that it might mean something to the RCMP,that Questar the business is sitting on $116 grand of customers money(if all 29 are sold). So that Questar can ship the product out?

Well, it is what it is. They're in Canada, at least (that's half the battle). I'm using the opportunity in the interim to "accessorize"; also gives me a chance to sell off a few other rifles and odds 'n ends. I only wish we could have got it in black...

I'm wondering if I'm the only one to pass on the pre-order....:(

No. I did too. The price seemed too high to me and I worried about a PS90 style price reduction once they were available. IE from 4K to 2K. Hard to justify as well when the Tavor was 3K with an optic (Which works great on my CX4 storm, and a .22LR AR15 upper). Of course now in hindsight I'm wishing I preordered. Oh well. Win some lose some.

The jury is out on pre-ordering for me.

Are they Cool? Sure. I'd love to find one under my Christmas tree. Nothing exemplifies the spirit of the holy season like opening a box of state of the art firearms.

But I have no idea if and when they will land. Nor how they will perform when they do. And a few thou extra can land me a very cool KAC 7.62 with a long reach.

So in the meantime...

After handling one of these rifles down in the U.S. a few months ago, I wish I was one of the lucky ones to have a pre ordered Scar....
I would happily pay 1k over the purchase price to anyone willing to give up their pre ordered Scar...

so theres no classification yet on this beauty? is it likely going to be restricted kuz its scary lookin?

Why restricted? If it's not a variant of a named restricted (like the AR-15), the barrel length is 18.5 inches or greater, and the OAL is over 26 inches with the stock folded, there's only 2 ways the classification can possibly go - non restricted or prohibited (if the RCMP can find a way to "easily convert it to full auto in seconds" after working at it for months:rolleyes:).

Barrel length is 16.25" I believe. This is a commercial version (manufactured specifically in semi-automatic), so no different than any other black rifle. It could be a very Merry Christmas indeed! :)
