Looking at a S&B PMII with P4FL reticle and was wondering if anyone is using it for PRS type shooting and how they like it. The reticle specifically. Thanks.

I think it was a top reticle a few years ago but has lost favour in more recent times.

S&B does not have an in house designed christmas tree reticle so your best option would be the Horus designs (I like the H59s).

I think you would be hard pressed to find a top prs shooter not running some type of xmas tree reticle.

If you are a dialer it would work probably.

I’m a huge fan of s&b .....and to each there own ........so I just bought the vx3i 8.5-25 x50 .....this this is flipping awsome .....I was a little scared about it but gave it a try ......
This is my opinion......... for prs I’m looking to get in to that as well .....the glass is so freaking close the the s&b......
Clear .......and the price !!!,
Christ almighty it has to be the best bang for the buck out there ......I think it’s gonna rock and give the big bigs a good shaking
1400 !!!, compared to 4000 plus
It’s just super to me .....for range days ....target practice and say some of those prs clinics
If I had a nickel for every holy chit and Jesus chr#$t comment.....I’d be able to buy another for my m1a super match Springfield
So there’s my two cents
If I could I’d post pics but don’t know how
It’s on my fnh fnar in 7.62x51

The P4F works. It really comes down to what you like. I run it on my comp gun and depending on the course of fire (like those in the dense forests of north central Washington) having clear and uncluttered glass as you hunt for the washed out steel across a 180 arc at times is nice. Although I am very comfortable holding for elevation I will typically dial and then hold for wind so an xmas tree isn't always necessary.

It’s new and it’s front focal plane vx3-I lrp look it up
My mistake I didn’t include certain details
It’s mil mil set up
And very slick for prs match’s

Those are the scopes ( 5X25X56 PM11 P4LF FFP) you mount on your best rifles, both of mine are and i would not change a thing.

I have a S&B PMii 5-25x56 mil with P4L. I shoot about 4-5 PRS matches a year locally, I very much like my S&B. I do wish that my S&B had a reticle like the EBR2c, that would be ideal however I do well with the P4L. My biggest complaint is that the center cross is a full 2 mills across with no half mill wind holds till you get to 1.5 mils. That being said unless your shooting very small targets you can hold on the cross hairs on the edge of the target. If you can't try out the recticle that your thinking about at the range, pay the $20 bucks and buy Strelok Pro, select the recticle, target sizes and shapes you intend to be shooting and play around with it and wind speeds, that should help you make a decision based on your personal preference and needs. Hope this helps.
