Schmidt Bender PMII 3-27x56 L/P LT Tremor2 RAL8000 Riflescope

too many scopes in the $3500-$4000 price range I'd buy instead and have $3k left over.

Agree,

I love my S&B's but that scope misses the mark as far as I'm concerned. Particulary for that price.
Why offer a 9x mag range and then make it a 3-27x? Why not 4-36x? $3K to pick up 2x on the top end and a useless 3x on the bottom.

No thanks, I'll stick with my 5-25's.

I am far of being specialist enough to use that scope, my 5X25's....12X50's and 3X12's will have to do and another thing, i usualy really dont care about esthetics but that color is fugly... JP.

Or less even.

As pointed-out by Marcoman, the gain of the High Power's mag range - 3x vs. 5x and 27x vs. 25x - is marginal considering the dramatic increase in price over the PM II 5-25. The glass is the same (outstanding). The illumination mechanism is the same. The amount of elevation adjustment is the same (26 mils). The adjustment does not offer anything different (LT and MTC). The Tremor2 reticle is available in other models... The HP and Henny were purpose built for a solicitation, and clearly there is some form of price collusion going on, given that both are being sold at about the same price.

Even as a dealer, it's hard to justify one of these when you can offer your customer something like the Bushnell XRS 4.5-30 with the Tremor2 reticle and 33 mils of adjustment for close to a 1/3rd the price.

One thing about RAL8000...it matches AI FDE very nicely.

IMO S+B is the best I've looked through but at $7K I'd get another S+B Pmii and put three thousand and change into something else ( like ammo ).

Vortex and S+B are scope makers the mention of which do not belong in the same paragraph.
