Schneider Barrels

Last i spoke with Gary he had not registered with DDTC, which is expensive. Without being DDTC registered you can not get an export license approved by the DOS.
So unless this has changed, legally no-one can export his fine barrels.

This is 100% incorrect

Firearms parts such as barrels can be imported via companies such as GunsAbroad : http://gunsabroad.com/services/services-for-individuals/

They do the paperwork and of course charge a fee but it is an option and not "illegal" if they file the proper paperwork with the US State Department

I don't believe controlled items can be exported from the US if the maker isn't registered with the proper US authorities...

Schneider makes one heck of a good barrel.
Good luck getting one.

I've had 2 and both were better than anything else I've had.
I really like the 1:8 6mm polygonal barrel in particular. Never saw anything like it. Coulda been the barrel hanger though. I had Dan Dowling do the work at the time. I believe he's in Payton AZ. Great guy and a legend in the USA.
