What are your favourite riflescope lens covers, and why?

On the flip side, are there any covers you absolutely hate, and why might it be so?

I realize different covers might not be available for all riflescopes, but if every cover worked on every riflescope, what would be your choice?

Tenebraex are the cats meow!!

I hate Butler Creek due to no hold open feature. I broke an ocular cap because it didn't stay locked open.

I've got different types of lens covers and worry more about snow then rain... With the walk and stalk approach one can get by without the covers if the rifle is held level with the ground. Or if one is walking to a certain spot then the covers stay on. Plenty of times I've forgotten them - so one must improvise and keep the lenses as dry as possible. Use what you have or adapt with what one may not have. The hunt is more important then the lens covers.

None..... Who needs another step in the process?..... I hunt lots of rugged terrain and never saw the benefit......

I've just found it easier to use a plain jane Butler Creek flip up. Rugged terrain or not: rain, snow, and mud can wreak havoc on my vision if I don't protect my lenses!

I've managed to round up a few of them old school rubber covers that flip off with yer tumb.
Anything else is just chit.
Maybe I might one day invest in them Leupold flippy covers, but for the price of them,
they best be werth the reward.

I've got a bunch of them Butler Creek junk that sit in a bucket on me work bench.
Gaaaaaaaad, wutt utter junk.

I have not had any luck with lens covers. It eventually comes off from the recoil...the front cover always. Right now I am using a scope sock...neoprene to cover the scope.

I bought one set of butler creek see through lens covers 5 years ago. I have never had a minute of trouble with them. The rifle has been through it all... Dragged through bushes, been dropped, been in ice, snow, and rain... They are still holding on lol. Well worth what little I paid for them.

After two sets of Butlers and the hinges breaking I gave up on them

Haha clearly the amount I take my hunting rifle out, the only one I have these on, shows. My guns that I take to the range most often, or out in the field most, don't have any scope cover, save a sock.

Maybe I'm not as sold on them as I thought...
