Schultz and Larsen M69 on a BYF 44 Kar 98K Receiver.

Hey guys I picked up a Schultz & Larsen M69 a couple of weeks ago.
Built on a BYF 44 Kar 98k Receiver chambered in 6.5 x 55mm
I like the rifle and am interested in shooting it as it has good rifling, strong bore and a good throat.

Questiones -
What would the twist rate be on these ? 210mm?

I have been in touch with S&L in Denmark who put me on to Schultz-larsen rifles.dk in Denmark (a guy who is an afficionado) but he tends to deal with the actual S&L Action rifles - very little info seems to exist on his site as to the Mauser receiver variants that S&l produced.

Twist is 1/8.26 (or 210mm), Danes were always heavy into civilian marksmanship, when Germany invaded in WWII they rounded up all civilian firearms, tooling, etc and took them to Germany. After the war they left behind thousands of K98's which S&L started rebuilding into target rifles. First were M52's made with heavy barrels, modified German K98 stocks, and Garand type sights of their own design, since the Garand was their now official main battle rifle. They then went with more traditional style target sights, beefy stock design, and eventually their own fully adjustable trigger you will find on some M69's.
You will find them made on just about every M98/K98 makers receiver. I have a couple...they all shoot very well.
