I have been looking at some of the Schultz & Larsen rimfires on the Tradex site. Seem like a budget way to get a start at precision rimfire.

Eventually I hope to purchase an Anschutz but that's beyond my price range at this point in life.

Would like to know if these Schultz & Larsen rimfires are in the realm of "bench rest" accuracy or are they just a "decently" accurate rimfire the like so many others (CZ, Savage, etc)?

There's a thread on them here, with some people's results. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/foru...rge-selection-of-Schultz-and-Larson-22s-again
Here's the first 10 rounds out of one of mine at 25 yards. I sneezed on one of the shots, so I'm going to say that's the low one. I checked to make sure the bore was clear after unpacking it and shot the group with CCI SV. All I had for a rest was leaning on my truck.

That rifle is one of the more expensive, fancy ones though. I think I paid $700 for it. I would also love an Anschutz, but don't think I can shoot good enough to justify that kind of money. I haven't had a chance to try the plainer one on paper yet. Here's the other one with it's big brother before I refinished the stock.

Thanks, I did a quick search here as well as on Rimfirecentral but didn't get much help.

Will read through the 33 pages here, bet there is some good tips and advice

They are very accurate if you do your part. Even the lesser models 2-300 range are very good (mine was a middle of the road 270$ version) and being single shot they force you to slow down and do your part slowly and methodically. I believe that we will see one of these in the .5 MOA thread that is running in here.
