Schultz & Larson rear sight question

I bought a Schultz & Larsen M70 from Trade Ex, great rifle, so far it shoots under 3/4" at 50m if I do my part.
My question is: what is the MOA adjustment per click of the rear diopter sight?

I get roughly 0.2 ~ 0.25 MOA per click and figured a target type sight might have a standard movement per click, can I expect elevation and windage to be the same?
Would like to be on paper when I stretch out to 100/200 yards.

Thanks,
Dan

I think you are correct at roughly 0.25 per click. 100 to 200 yds is a long way with iron sights. Let us know how it works for you.

The Schultz & Larsen model 70s are a quality rifle. I bought one from a friend & another from TradEx, I'm very happy with them.

Here are a couple of pics of the one I bought from Tradex.

Thanks for the information Rod.
Nice looking rifle thanks for taking the time to post pictures.

The finish on my stock needs some attention, did you refinish yours? I am not sure what would work best to clean it up.

I shot my M70 at 50, 100 and 200 yards - very happy with outcome so far.

The 50m mark on the sight was right on for 50 yards.
I was using CCI Standard velocity ammo and ran the numbers through a couple ballistic programs to get my come ups at 100 and 200 yards.
For 100 yards at .25 MOA/click the programs gave me 28 - 29 clicks and 102 - 105 clicks at 200 yards.

In reality I ended up with 25 clicks up at 100 (2" - 3" groups) and 75 clicks up at 200 (5" - 6" groups).
I played with the atmospheric conditions, BC and MOA/click but couldn't come up with any table that would work at all ranges. I was using 1075 ft/s for muzzle velocity and played with it also.

Any ideas of where I am going wrong?

Thanks,
Dan

Thanks Hitzy.
By my math that works out to about 3/8 moa per click.
that works out a bit closer, guess I am going to have to shoot every 25 yards to make my own come up chart.
Strange though, in all the shooting I have done the ballistic charts I have made are always very accurate.

Thanks for the info
My crony broke a couple years ago and I haven't replaced it - maybe will put that on my Christmas list.
It is interesting how BC varies around the speed of sound, makes ballistics with the .22 tricky as they run in those sub/trans/super sonic speeds.
