Schutz & Larssen

If anyone is interested, I have a whack of 7X61 ammunition, at least 100 rounds.

Ted

:)Any details Ted?
  • What load/bullet weight?
  • Case head stamp, 7x61S&H Re. or 7x61S&H Super?
  • Price?
The reason I ask about the head stamp is I've sold/traded all of my older stuff marked Re. and acquired a 'supply' of brass and loaded ammo marked Super. Thought, for reload uniforimity, I'd try and eliminate any slight differences that supposedly exists between the two cases.

I have a Schultz & Larsen 6.5x55 barrel on a 98 Mauser. It was a military target rifle with a 28 inch heavy barrel. The darn thing will shoot tiny groups all day long with bullets from 85 grain to 160 grain. The worst handloads will still group in an inch and a half.(It makes my Remington 700 friends spitting mad) I would be happy just to get a sporter barrel from Schultz & Larsen, and screw it on action. They sure know how to cut rifle a barrel.

A lot of Swedish target rifles have S&L barrels. I have an all matching nazi action mounted as a Target rifle with a .308 S&L heavy barrel... pretty heavy and a real tack driver.

Boy oh bouy, I sure wish I had the scrambled eggs to know what the phook fits what on this
monopoly.
To be able to find a Schultzy barrel that would fit X Y Z.
I have a superb lead driving fatzo Swede 98 that is just
begging to be retrofitted into something skinny.
Then agin, by the time one pays the piper, the wait would be less painful.

One year, a bunch of moons ago, I had in me hands a Schultz in 308win.
The sleaze looked new.
The price tag reflected all of the new look.
To turn back the clock, eye'da pimped meself for her.
Dang, dang, dang it all.
