Would a basic old Banner work or would the guts get shook out?

I’ve got Tasco, Bushnell Legend and Barska on a couple of PAL HW97s and a non-PAL CZ630. They’re all still working well after more than 1,000 shots each. They all have coil springs supporting the front (objective) lens. You can see this coil spring if you look through the front lens.

I think the larger diameter springs can take more recoil pounding from a spring piston air rifle. The Tasco has what look like 2.5 mm diameter spring, while the legend and barska have about 2mm springs.

So if your Banner has this front spring, it should work.

Thanks I'll try it. I've had this rifle for 22 years but just can't use the sights anymore.
