Looking for advice from experienced PPC shooters.

I'm just about finished the new rifle and I'm still undecided on what the new glass will be.

I was origionally gonna pick up the NF Benchrest 12x42x56 with 1/8th and a target dot.
A friend was suggesting the Leupold 30x to 40 x but they are fixed mag.
Not sure I want that.
I'm fairly sure I want the option of a high magnification glass.

What do you use/ what works for you ?

Thanks
M.

If you are

talking shortrange Benchrest with a 6PPC then almost everybody uses fixed power scopes. 36X Weavers, 45X Leupolds, 36X Sightrons, and the March line which comes in at over 2g notes. If you are wanting a variable the new March 10-60X would be one to look at. Sticker shock at 2400.00US from Kelby's in the US. If there is any variables being used today in the US it is the March in shortrange BR.

Weight is the issue with the variable scopes and if you are just shooting at paper the variable is not required.

Now if you are going to use it for yourself and not matches put whatever you want on it. A variable will work if you have enough weight room to spare when shooting at registered matches. Not likely with a LV but should be okay with HV.

Hope this helps.

March ??

Guess I'll have to phone Kelbly (george) , I've got 2 of his triggers now, one on the BR, on for the PPC. NXS I have now was $2170 + gvt.
The Benchrest model I was considering is approx 15-1600 $

Thanks.

Went to Kelbly's site,,,,,, DAMN,,, that's a nice looking scope.
Looks like its got all the features you'd need too.
Gonna have to give em a call and try to scrounge up more funds.

Between the Robertson's stock, the Bernard action, the Kelbly trigger and the Maclennan barrell, now looking at the March scope, this rifle's getting expensive fast laff,

hope it works
