Just looking for advice on rings I recently put a vortex 4-12-40 scope on my 30-06 and I run out of horizontal adjustment to sight it in.i do believe the the owner before got the gun drilled and tapped which I think might not be straight with the rifle.would like to find out which is the best way to correct this problem if there’s rings I can use or what I can do any advice would be appreciated thanx troy

Are you sure the scope reticle is actually in the center to begin with?? Make sure it is, then try bore sighting it at 100 yards, just support the rifle, pull the bolt and look through the bore and compare to the scope reticle.

Thanx I’ll have to try a set sounds like that will fix it and do they come with different offsets

You will have to check on the set you order, some come with just the "0" inserts, some come with an assortment.
You can buy the insert pack "0","+5","+10","+20" separately as well.
Make sure the set you order will fit your scope tube, 1" or 30mm.

The 1" kit has .005", .010" and .020". They are also available individually.

The 30mm rings come with the different offset inserts included.

I recently had to do the same thing for the same reason. I've also used them to gain some
elevation adjustment when I didn't want to use a rail.
