Man, I'm frustrated. Has anyone got anything from PGW in that last while? I've almost completed gathering up parts for an F class rifle build, and been trying to get a scope base since last spring.

I've tried Near manufacturing (I thought I'd support a local Canadian company), for them to reply:
"If PGW made the action they should support you with bases for their product."

I've tried with PGWsteve twice now, both times he said he'd send one out right away.. still nothing.

I hate to bash a guy, or company's, but dammit if your going to send something, own up and do it!:runaway:

Short of putting up this entire project into the EE, and saying f*ckit, anyone got any suggestions or know of a 25 MOA scope base that would fit?

Steve, I should of private messaged you again, sorry to take it to a public level, I apologize. (Now send me a damned base :p )

I knew it. This "Steve" fellow is a shifty looking one. His rifles are also very quiet. A cause for concern. I've also witnessed him shoot a $2000+ scope for fun. I'd keep an eye on this one...

Nobody should ever have to reminded 3x before #### happens. If you've been waiting since last spring then, sorry, but it sucks to be you. FWIW, Richard Near was right.

I'm curious, couldn't Near provide a base with a custom hole spacing, or at the very least a blank that could be drilled by the customer or a gunsmith? I would think such a level of service would go along way in the good will and repeat customer department.

The problem is that the M15 radius's are larger and different then a Rem 700 of which its based off of. Near made it clear to me, that they are not interested in custom manufacturing one-off bases. "We are a production machine shop that specializes in 1500 to 15000 piece orders." That was after I offered to send my action up to them for measurement purposes.

How Near operates is their prerogative, and if they don't do custom pieces, thats fine.

This should be cleared up now anyhow.

Well
on the last count I have owned 5 M15's 3 still in my use. I love them. They really need 2 Remington 700 front bases. The rear base on the Rrmington has a different radius. I have made Picatiny bases for my tactical 308 in an M15 lots of work. I bought 2 Warne SS blank Remington front bases and cut a groove in them for the rings on the 300WSM. The last setup I bought from Brownells 955-010-135 48500 35M MATTE TOP MOUNT BASE Really cheap 2.50 each, They will need to be modifly to (grooves cut) to fit tactical type rings.
