I'll order from Savage direct if I have to, just wondering if anybody knows a dealer who has stock. Ideally, a CGN sponsor. :) These are the exact ones; https://store.savagearms.com/scope-mount-kit-for-rascal.html

Before anyone tells me "just get Weaver base #________" I already have. You can easily find bases that line-up with the holes in the receiver, but they block the path of the bolt even WITHOUT a ring clamped on! The Savage ones appear to have a small riser section where it meets the receiver, hoping it's been addressed. Thanks!

What's egw?

Evolution gun works based out of Quakertown Pa,

$29.99 on their site

EGW sells a rail for the Rascal.

Hey...now that's cool! I have an EGW on my Savage 93FV. Might match nicely! lol Any idea where to get EGW in Canada? Do they ship direct, or is it a "scary" gun part that can't be shipped out of the US? Bought my current one privately.

Cabelas.ca sells the entire line of weaver bases. Just be sure to go to the weaver website and confirm the right base for you.
I ordered the wrong ones using the order guide on cabelas site.

Just call them on the phone. I bought one for my kids Rascal. EGW has to be better than ordering from Savage. I believe the rail was $29.99 plus shipping.

UPDATE~Got 'em! :) My favorite gun shop (Rouge River Arms) just called me last night, they got some in. Haven't mounted them, but they look great, and the height they provide should clear the bolt~unlike the other Weaver bases I tried.

Thanks RRA! :)

The correct bases are weaver 21 or 23 they have the corre t radius To fit the narrow action

I don't know about those bases struff55, but the Rascal as a smaller diameter than the Mark II or 93 rifles. Radius size aside, the machined groove the bolt handle travels in is very close to the mounting holes, so any Weaver bases I've seen encroach into that space...thus blocking the travel of the bolt. The Savage Rascal bases have a narrow, riser portion that lifts it above that, then gets wider to full Weaver size. As it turns-out though...the bases are now too close together on my Rascal (my daughters's :) ) and the scope I have won't work with it. They don't allow you any movement forward/backward to account for eye relief...so...I'm moving towards an EGW rail now. This is trickier than getting a scope on a CZ! lol
