Any ideas for the scope bases (make/model) appropriate for this type of "ground down / ground flat" Model 1917 receiver?![]()
If you go on the Weaver website, it will tell you the various options, as the candidate rifles were sported (ground, drilled and tapped) to various specs. That's likely a one piece base... possibly an old redfield mount. FWIW - That rifle is not one of the very common BSA conversions, so its anybodie's guess about the conversion specs.
Is that one of the "sled patrol" rifles?

You used to see mounts like this used, and if the rear hadnt been rounded they would cut a flat on the bottom of the base. Mind you, its been a few years.
