I've been looking for a scope for my new 10-22 takedown that will fit into the storage bag when still attached to the receiver. I have 2 Bushnell Banners (a 3.5 X 10-32 and a 4 X 12-40) on a couple of other .22's I like both but they are too large to fit into the takedown's bag while still mounted. I find that when I'm out shooting gophers I always turn down the magnification to 4-6 power so I wasn't looking for a high powered scope. I was seriously considering this Leapers compact 3 X 9 from D&L but I was am suspicious of the quality on Leapers stuff and I've never looked through one so I didn't want to spend $100 and then regret it.

I was at Cabella's in Edmonton yesterday and they had some Nikon Prostaff 2 X 7-32 compact scopes on sale for $125. I had a look through one and the glass is very good for an inexpensive scope so I bought one, along with some Weaver medium rings. I had already mounted a UTG "Tactical" low profile mount so I can use the open sights with the scope mount in place, something you can't do with the Ruger mount.
It looks great and the glass is very clear and bright plus it fits in the bag (just barely). I'll let you know what I think after I try it out. Maybe not today as the weather sucks.
