Scope clearance issue. Need a suggestion for a set of rings.

So I recently picked up a Savage Mk II FV and a Bushnell Trophy XLT 6-18x50 on sale. I ordered a set of Warne high rings off Amazon and tried to mount everything tonight. The scope is JUST touching the barrel. I know the easiest thing to do would be to return the high rings and order a set of extra high. Problem is the high rings were $42 but the same rings in extra high are $86. Does anyone know of another set of rings that would work with this combo? I don't have calipers but I did a rough measurement of the objective bell diameter on the lens and it is approximately 63mm or 2.48".

Is there any room to slide the scope forward a smidgen (assuming the objective bell is hitting the tapered chamber area of the barrel). Not ideal, but if it saves you....

No, it is a bull barrel so no taper at all.

That's a lot of scope for a 22! I'd hate to see what your cheek weld will look like.
