I have had no end of troubles trying to keep scope caps/covers on my Burris scope. Soft rubber ones that are snug to start, become ridged in cold temps and fall off, other harder plastic ones seem to suffer a similar fait. I have lost 6 in the last year, the bush in NS is fairy thick and that makes them more prone to get pushed off. There must be a better solution, anyone have a similar experience and a solution that I could try.

Thanks

are you set on having flip ups? have you considered the full rubber bikini type ? or even the plastic clear ones, then few raps of a decent looking string / leather lace around the bungee center and scope body youll never loose them

I use a couple of small peices of two sided tape to hold my flip up caps on , works very well and is easy to remove if need be

If you don't mind something you have to pull off, a neoprene scope coat offers great protection.
