Anyone here proficient at safely dissasembling an older scope so it could be painted / dipped / anodized ( anybody do that as we'll ??? And wth is that anyway?) and re assembly.
Reason I'm asking is I'm building a clone retro m40 sniper rifle with a redfield tombstone accurange scope. The marines were issued with them a green- gold colour. Need that done. Not sure if I wanna risk hydro dipping it and breaking it or trusting myself to pull it apart and breaking it.
