Scope for 10/22

I’d suggest a fixed power. Going to be good glass in older used models and probably a good price.
Probably a Ballistics Drop Reticle would be good. An if you go fixed 4 power you don’t have to worry about sfp vs ffp. Also bigger objective will give you more light in low light conditions. Ranges that would be good outside a fixed powe are 1.5-4.5 like you have or 2-7 even a 3-9 could work.
I like Athlon, Bushnell and Leupold personally for new optics.
If your eyes are good enough you could get away with a decent red dot as people do shoot pistols to those distances.

Leupold Rimfire scope in 2-7 would be a great option...allowing for those close up shots, but also allowing for more magnification for target practice or shots at longer distances (say 25-50 yards). Have one on my 10/22 and has worked well for years.
