Scope for 16" AR

I recently installed the Millit 1-4 scope. It has a 30mm tube. Cost about $215

Leupold VX-R Patrol scope 1.25x4

I know, I know, it's not on my AR right now, but it works just as well on the Swiss!

I got my eye on the Minox ZE 5 i 1-5x24. It's got a red dot.
I don't think it's come out yet, so no idea on price.
But a quality 1-5x red dot seems like a sweet deal to me.

Buy only once!
Vortex PST 1-4
The best for it's price (550$). The only problem can be finding them, dealers can't keep them in stock. Also great warranty

We actually now have two in stock :D

This is the scope I use on my AR, however it's an 11.5" barrel. No worries about hitting targets at 300yds, unless you are going for MOA groups.

I've got a 4X ACOG TA31F. Its magnification isnt the greatest for that range, but I'll hit paper plates all day, and the drop compensator is sweet.

Mine is also a 16"

IMHO the 1-4x suggestions for 300yds is too little magnification.
+1 again for the Leupold Mark AR 3-9x40
T2 .223 BDC turret. After zeroing just dial in the distance.
Get the Mildot reticle if you prefer. ~$400
Excellent glass for the price. Wolverine usually sells them.

Not sure if the ACOG falls in the not to expensive category the OP is looking for lol.
in comparison to S&B short dots, and the like the agog is about middle ground ;) lol

I like the 4X for 25- 300. For 300 average or 300+ I would more than agree more magnification is needed. That said I only use one optic, and its my 80% solution.
