scope for .17 hmr

does a 17 count as precision? what would be better for up to 200 meters? a fixed power with mill dots or variable power.

.17's shoot fine out to 200m.I have a bushnell 3200 with mildots on mine and I wouldn't change it.

I have a 6-18 bushnell banner on mine. And does it count, depends what you mean by "precision".

Precise enough for informal target shooting absolutly, the wind might drive you nuts some days but that's part of the fun.

I find that with my .17 I can hit clays at 200m all day long.Yes the wind will be a factor but what better way to practice doping the wind when you don't have to worry about aimlessly sending expensive ammo downrange.

on a calm day it is an easy 200m gun. I have a 3200 5-15x40 AO on it, perfect fit. Enough zoom and clarity. In my mind the .17 deserves good optics and the bushnell 3200 series is a good deal.
