Happy New Year All,

My B-Day present to myself is a nicely figured Annie 1712 be receiving it last quarter of January. Now how to scope it and not do the platform a disservice, Like I stated it has to be huntable first and foremost but I want something that can get me the 50yd challenge also if I can manage my part.
I thought the Leupold Freedom 3-9x33 EFR as it would be a slim & trim profile but I don't think that is quite where I want to be on this rifle. I want to be able to have a sharp focus on a grouses beady little eyeball at 10yds and be able to adjust quickly to 50+.... No exotic suggestions please as we all know the cash hemorrhage this time of year lol, middle ground plus kinda stuff.

TIA!

Can't beat the little Leupold 3-9 EFR's for general use on German 22 sporters - Especially if you can find one of the superceded VX2's in gloss! Plenty of comments around on the new Freedom series and most seem quite favourable.
Only problem I have is that I have to work hard to shoot targets accurately at 50 plus yards with the 9X upper limit.
The Weaver Grand Slam 3-12X42 is a compact scope 11.9" long with very good glass at an affordable price but I think the AO will only focus to 25 yards.

If you want a good quality gloss scope which gives away little, if anything, to the Leupold, have a look at this one. I have a few of these and am very satisfied with their performance.
