Scope for 22LR for Rabbits

When gopher shooting I take off my target (24) scope and use a 2-7. I have an old Japanese Tasco that has served me well for years. Can always count on it to hold 0. My old Bushnell 1.5x4.5 also works.

Looking to aquire a basic scope for a vintage Ruger 22. I'm guessing something around $300-400 would be good enough to shoot rabbits. It has iron sights but would like to upgrade. Any thoughts on cheap but durable and waterproof scopes?

The vast number I've taken are under 25yd .
Don't need a scope , just more plinking.
