scope for 270 Winchester?

What would be the ideal scope to mount on a 270 Winchester bolt action hunting rifle to be able to take full advantage of this caliber's capabilities?

A good 3-9x40. I have an early Burris full field 2 ballistic plex 3-9x40 on mine.

I also have a .270 win and knew the factory mounted scope being 40 bucks from Ebay with free shipping had to go. And so far it has. I haven't done any distance shooting but gonna try come April when we take holidays.

To take full advantage....something in the 3-9x40 range with a ballistic reticle good to 500 yards would seem just about right in a hunting application.

Purchased a Redfield Revolution 3-9x40 AR reticle with BDC for my Ruger American in .270. Great optic and value.
